Welcome Shuaiqi!

We are excited to announce that Shuaiqi Yuan has joined the Chan Lab!

Brief bio: Shuaiqi is from Beijing, China and earned his B.S. in Chemistry from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2025. During his undergraduate studies, he worked on protein-based nanomedicine with Professors Yuzhou Wu and Fangrui Zhong, focusing on protein modification and responsive delivery systems. He also trained in organic synthesis in Professor Youwei Xie’s group, gaining experience in reaction design and small-molecule chemistry. These experiences led to his interest in introducing chemical tools into biological systems. Outside the lab, he enjoys cooking and spending time with friends.
