Welcome Chelsea!

We are excited to welcome Chelsea Swartchick to the Chan Lab!

Brief bio: Chelsea graduated from the University of Portland in 2019 with a bachelors of science in chemistry. Her undergraduate research focused on the synthesis and methodology of antimalarial compounds. She also participated in an REU at Kansas State University where she worked on identifying the substrates of N-terminal Methyl Transferase-1, an enzyme that's over-expressed in colon cancer, but a tumor suppressor in breast cancer. Chelsea is currently an organic chemistry student pursuing a PhD in the Chan lab!
