We are very excited to welcome Thomas Bearrood to the lab for a summer rotation!
Brief bio: Thomas recently graduated from St. Olaf College with a double major in Chemistry and Mathematics. In 2013, he travelled to Muenster, Germany to pursue research at the Institute of Pharmacy and Medicinal Chemistry as a RISE Scholar. During this time he explored methodologies to oxidize alcohols to α,β-unsaturated ketones. The following summer, Thomas performed research at the University of Washington as an Amgen Fellow. Thomas is currently pursuing his PhD in Organic Chemistry.
