We are excited to announce that Chang Jiang has joined the Chan Lab!
Brief bio: Chang is from Shanghai, China and graduated from East China Normal University with a BS in Chemistry. Her first part of undergraduate research was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Kaiwu Dong and focused on the cobalt-catalyzed CO insertion of four-membered thioheterocyclic compounds and other organometallic methodologies. She then went to the Chan lab and was involved in the synthesis of silicon-substituted hemicyanines for multimodal SWIR imaging and multivalent glucose-based fluorescent probes under the supervision of Prof. Jefferson Chan. Chang is currently pursuing a PhD in Chemistry with the Chan lab at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign focusing on Organic Chemistry research.
