Brief bio: Hailey received her BSc in Chemistry from the University of Idaho in 2015. While at the University of Idaho, Hailey conducted research in the lab of Prof. Jakob Magolan. She was involved in several projects, including a methodology development for selective 1,2 reduction of α,β-unsaturated ketones and the total synthesis of a natural product with antibiotic activity. In 2014, Hailey traveled to California for an internship in the Medicinal Chemistry department at Gilead Sciences. Hailey is currently pursuing her PhD in Organic Chemistry.
