Welcome Melissa!

We are excited to welcome Melissa Lucero to our Chan Lab team!

Brief bio: Melissa recently graduated from University of Maryland in Baltimore County (UMBC) with a major in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. At UMBC, she worked in the Ptaszek Lab as a MARC U*STAR Scholar to synthesize water-soluble chlorin-bacteriochlorin dyads for multicolor imaging. In 2016, Melissa performed research at Stanford University in the McConnell Lab as an Amgen Scholar. Melissa is currently pursuing her PhD in Chemical Biology.
