Welcome Gabby!

We are excited to announce that Gabriela Ibarra has joined the Chan Lab!

Brief bio: Gabriela received her BS in Chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin in Spring 2018. As an undergraduate student, she conducted research on luminescent lanthanide complexes for applications in biological imaging and 19F MRI contrast agents. The summer before graduate school she interned at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in the Physics Division where she helped synthesize plastic scintillators for applications in nuclear physics experiments. Gabriela is currently a Chemistry PhD student in the area of Chemical Biology.
