Brief bio: Originally from China, Hao Li moved to America in 2011 to pursue a BSc in Chemistry at UC Irvine. During this time, he worked as an undergraduate research assistant in the Nowick laboratory where he developed peptide mimics of Amyloid-beta, the main component of the amyloid plaques found in the brains of Alzheimer patients. Hao is currently pursuing a PhD in the area of chemical biology.
